League of Yoruba Media Practitioners Appreciates President Bola Tinubu *As Tunde Rahman, Others Get Appointment


The League of Yoruba Media Practitioners (LYMP) has congratulated Mr. Tunde Rahman on his appointment as the Senior Special Assistant on Media to President Bola Tinubu. 


The group in a statement signed by its chairman, Samuel Akinrole, he also felicitated with other media aides appointed to assist in projecting the image of Mr President, especially the ones of the Yoruba extraction. 


In the statement, the group described the appointments as well deserved stating that all of them are best suited for the positions they were appointed to run.


The group while assuring Rahman and his team of maximum support and a great working relationship, also promised to work with the team in projecting the programmes and policies of Mr President in the language the majority of the people of the region are comfortable with. 


Recall President Tinubu recently announced the appointment of 20 aides including his longtime media adviser Tunde Rahman as his senior special assistant (SSA) on media matters.


A native of Iwo in Osun State, Mr Rahman was political editor of the Daily Times before he moved over to the Punch where he headed the Abuja bureau of the newspaper and later the group news editor of the paper at its headquarters in Lagos.


He thereafter moved to ThisDay newspaper where he held several editorial positions, including the editorship of the Sunday paper.


Rahman recently bagged an MBA from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.


Aside from Tunde Rahman, other media aides from the southwest region that got appointed by Mr. President are Tope Ajayi – senior special assistant (media and public affairs); Segun Dada – special assistant (social media); Sunday Moses – personal assistant (videography); and Taiwo Okanlawon personal assistant (state photographer).
