A member, representing Dandi Constituency in Kebbi State House of Assembly, Dr Suleiman Fana has reaffirmed his commitment to the progress and development of the constituency and his people.
The house member during the walimat held for his inauguration as member of the state assembly at his hometown, Fana , Dandi Local Government Area of Kebbi State at the weekend assured of his plan to carry everyone in the constituency along in the empowerment programs he is already putting together for the economic and social benefit of the people.
Dr Suleiman said "I'm a representative of everyone in this constituency. I'm for those who voted me and those who did not vote me. All of them are my people and I'm committed to their progress and development irrespitive their political affiliation. Be asured that we will give you watever they say we should give you". The lawmaker said he has already drew up an empowerment plan that will benefit everyone from up to bottom.
He thanked and commended people of Dandi constituency for the support they gave him during and after the election. He promised to always look for ways to protect their cause and bring progress and development to the people and constituency.
Earlier, while addressing the gathering of religious faithfuls, political, business associates and people of the communities in Dandi area of the state at the walimat, Sarkin Shiko Kamba, Alhaji Mahmud Zamfummai Fana commended Dr Suleiman for his contributions to the progress and development of Dandi and it's people through his various empowerment programs. He enjoined him to sit with his people and hear their needs because as their representative he is the one between government and the people.
In his address, Chairman Dandi Local Government , Abdul Salam Jibril kamba enjoined the new lawmaker to give appropriate attention and listening ear to his people as their representative in the state assembly. Other Local Government chairmen from Bagudo, Arewa, Suru and Tunga in Niger Republic took time to applaud Dr Suleiman's contributions to the development of Dandi.
Clerics at the walimat, while offering their prayers said the victory of Dr Suleiman in the state assembly elections was for everyone in Dandi. "It's our prayers that he succeeds in his undertakings as a law maker".. They enjoined the communities in the constituency to continue giving him the support he needed to succeed in his efforts to meet the needs of the people and that of Kebbi State at the assembly.
"In whatever good thing Allah gave us we should do walimat. Dr Suleiman has done so much for people of his constituency..He gave admissions, empowerment, scholarship and so on. May Allah guide him to do the right things", the clerics prayed.
The highlight of the walimat was the gathering of array of traditional rulers, religious leaders, government representatives from Benin and Niger Republics, foreign business partners of Dr Suleiman Fana and community members in Dandi Local Government.
