Buhari will be remembered for addressing insecurity, corruption, free/fair elections- Gambari

The Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari on Sunday said some of the legacies the president Muhammad Buhari's administration would be leaving behind are making impact in addressing the security challenges facing the country, fighting corruption and supervising a free and fair elections.


Gambari, while addressing journalists at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State on Sunday said Buhari would not only be remembered for supervising the conduct of a free and fair elections but that he would also be remembered for congratulating winners where his party did not win.


He said"Elections are over, the administration is now in the process of building support and environment for the incoming administration so that it would build on the positive records of president Muhammad Buhari's government."


Professor Gambari who said he was sent to Kebbi State by President Muhammadu Buhari to deliver a private message to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Illiyasu Bashar thanked the state for its support for the economy diversification policy of the federal government.


"We are coming to the end of Buhari's administration we need to express appreciation for the support and prayers.


"President Buhari diversified the economy to make us now eat what we produced and produced what we eat.  No state has exemplified that more than Kebbi State..


"I was sent to Kebbi by Mr President to have discussion and deliver a private message to Governor Bagudu and Emir of Gwandu. My coming to kebbi is like coming home", the SGF said.
