Dr Abubakar Suleiman Fana and 13 other candidates that were declared winner in the March 15 House of Assembly Election have been given certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
While given the certificate of return to the 14 house members- elec, the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ahmed Bello said certificate of return of two other candidates in Yauri and Ngaski constituencies are still being withheld over violence and attacks on INEC staff in the area.
11 out of the 14 house members-elect that were given certificate of return by INEC are APC candidates while 3 others are PDP candidates.
Those presented with the certificate include, Dr Abubakar Suleiman Fana, Dandi constituency, Buhari Muhammed Aliero from Aliero constituency, Na'amore Muhammed, Argungu constituency, Samaila Muhammed,Bagudo constituency, Muhammed Abubakar Lolo,Bagudo West constituency, Umar Hassan, Birnin Kebbi North, Abubakar Aminu Gulumbe, Birnin Kebbi South, Abubakar Yusuf Tiki, Bunza constituency.
Others are Dandi constituency, Haruna Lawal Gele, Fakai constituency,Tukur Muhammed,Shanga constituency, Abubakar Farouk,Suru constituency, Garba Muhammed Bena, Danko-Wasagu East constituency, Abdullahi Muhammed Ribah, Danko Wasagu West constituency and Usman Muhammed, Zuru constituency.
Earlier in his address, the REC said the commission is giving certificate of return to 14 of the candidates declared winner in the state assembly elections though the elections have not been concluded. He said INEC is already preparing logics for the concluding part of the election scheduled for 15 of April, this year.
While speaking to journalists after receiving his certificate of return, Dr Fana said he would fulfilled the promises he made to people of his constituency. He also assured them of purposeful and developmental representation at the state assembly.
