Northern Professionals, Bagudu's wife rally women support for Tinubu/Shetima in kebbi

The Northern Young Professionals for Tinubu/ Shetima in collaboration with the first wife of Kebbi State Governor, Hajiya Aisha Bagudu on Wednesday rallied women for the presidential candidate of the All Prigressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shetima in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State capital.

While addressing women at the rally, national coordinator of NYPT, Alhaji Abdullahi Tanko Yakasai said the group was in kebbi State to canvass women votes for Tinubu/Shetima in the February 25 presidential election.

He said women are major player in the election of Nigeria's president and whoever they support always win in the elections.

"We know women are very committed in anything they set their minds to do. We came to kebbi to solicit their support for our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

"We want the women to know that Tinubu is the only candidate with capacity and experience to move Nigeria forward. He has demonstrated this in Lagos and he will do it again if elected Nigeria's president", Yakasai said.

He enjoined the women to take advantage of the extension offered by INEC for the collection of PVCs. "I enjoin you to go and collect your PVCs. It's the only way you can vote for APC and the only way your support for our candidate can give him victory in the presidential election", he said.

In her address, Hajiya Aisha Bagudu said she was happy with the large turnout of women in support of the APC presidential and governorship candidates in the state. She added that it was a clear declaration of their commitment to vote the APC in the general elections. 

"I am overwhelmed by their support and commitment to vote APC in the elections. This is an assurance that APC candidates will win the presidency, house of assembly,house of representatives and senate seats in coming elections", the governor's wife said.
