Kebbi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has inuagurated it's Gubernatorial Campaign Council to canvass votes for the party's presidential candidate Abubakar Atiku and General Aminu Bande (rtd), it's governorship candidate in the state.
The party named Alhaji Abubakar Shehu as Director General and Alhaji Sani Dododo as publicity secretary while other members of the campaign council consists of former ministers, governors, state executives, house of representatives members and commissioners in the party .
While inuagurating the campaign council, the governorship candidate of PDP in kebbi State, Major General Aminu Bande ( rtd) congratulated the party on the choice of the personalities in the campaign council. He said it's composition was an assurance that the PDP will bounce back and take back power from the APC led government in the state.
Bande said "The campaign council members were men and women of proven characters and have excel in their respective positions.
"They are the existing PDP structure in all the local government areas of the state and would be moving from community to community,door to door and house to house to ensure PDP victory in kebbi State.
"I here by inuagurated you as members of the PDP gubernatorial campaign council. You must ensure victory for the party. It's a duty bestowed on you".
Speaking earlier, the campaign DG, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu said the PDP is determined to win the 2023 general elections in kebbi State with the support of it's teeming supporters across the 21 local government areas of the state.
He called on people in the four emirates areas of the state to vote the PDP from bottom to the top for the desired change in kebbi State.
In his speech the party's gubernatorial running mate, Alhaji Samaila Bui said the composition of the campaign council will ginger party supporters to win the election.
" PDP will end the corruption,hunger and insecurity occasioned by APC administration in kebbi State.
"This movement created by PDP to take back the reign of leadership in kebbi State is like a moving train. I will call on well meaning people of Kebbi not to be left behind because it's time to rescue our dear state from ruins and calamity", he said.
