Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has granted approval for the deduction of 3% of the basic salaries of civil servants in the state to the State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (KECHEMA).
A press statement signed by Kebbi State Acting Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena and made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Monday said the approval by the Governor was sequel to the request made by the organized labour for the deduction of 3% Basic Salaries of all civil servants in the State for remittance to Kebbi State Contributory Health Care management Agency (KECHEMA).
It stated that the enrollment of civil servants in the scheme as a formal sector would enable the agency provide easy access to health care for civil servants at affordable rate.
According to the acting head of service, the deduction for KECHEMA would take effect from November, 2022 to enable the agency commence it services to civil servants in the State.
