Nasara Initiative trains 234 Kebbi youth in computer, tailoring, shoe making

Nasara Initiative for Women emporwement has embarked on the training of 234 youth comprising of male and female  in computer, tailoring and shore making.


According to the founder of the  non governmental organisation and wife of APC Governorship Candidate in Kebbi State Hajiya Nasare Nasiru, the training program would be held in Birnin Kebbi for a period of 3 weeks.

Hajiya Nasiru, during the flagging off ceremony of the program said the training was designed to make the youth self reliant, functional and dedicated.

She said her empowerment Initiative will established more skill acquisition centres and training facilities in the 21 local government areas of the state for the development of the youth.

She urged parents to support their children in the efforts to acquire the training for self reliance. She said the youth will be supported with stater packs after the training.

Earlier, the state coordinator of Nasara Initiative for Women empowerment, malami Abdulrasheed Bala said 300  women in Birnin Kebbi were earlier trained by the organisation in akara making and were supported with necessary materials. 


He said no fever than 500 orphans, internally displaced people were also assisted by the organisation with clothing materials, assorted grains and cash.  "We visited the IDPs camp in Bunza, Kalgo and Malala to distribute food items, clothing and cash ranging from N10,000 and N5,000 to them.

Malam Bala said many patients have also been assisted through the organisation's medical outreach program by paying their medical bills. "We  have also helped over 500 groups and associations I'm the state", he said.

He stated that the said the organisation will welcome support from well meaning Nigerians to further support the youth and women in the society.
