Hamzat was formerly the chairman of Agbado- Oke Odo Local Council Development Area.
Presenting the confirmation letter to Hamzat,at the National Coordinating Council meeting ( NCC)held at the National Headquarters of the OPC (Oodua House) in Ikeja,Lagos,Aare Adams, who doubles as the National Coordinator of the OPC,said,the appointment became pertinent after a thorough deliberation and assessment by the highest decision making organ of the OPC.
Adams affirmed also that the new position is well deserved because Hamzat has distinguished himself as a very committed member, especially,in his days as chairman of Agbado-Oke Odo.
Iba Adams also added that the new position is a new challenge to Hamzat to further strengthen the organization in Alimosho and its environs.
"There is reward for everything in life.His new position is to boost his morale and encourage others to do more in projecting the ideals of our organization.OPC has a way of rewarding loyalty and commitment to the cause,so Hamzat Kazeem Adewale's new position as the coordinator General of Alimosho is a testimony of our resolve to drive the cause of our group to the grassroots.
In his remarks,Hamzat expressed appreciation to Iba Adams, stating further that he was humbled by the new responsibility.
He promised to abide by the rule of the organization,saying OPC in Alimosho will continue to good ambassador of the congress.
"I appreciate my father and the generalissimo of Yoruba land,Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams for this wonderful honour done on me.
"I am most humbled by my new appointment.It goes a long way in promoting the ideals of the OPC in Alimosho and its environs.We have been trying our best in spreading the gospel of the organization and apparently my new position is another opportunity to do more in the area of mobilisation.And I am sure we will deliver that sacred duty"
