Former vice president and presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar has said he is sure of victory in the party presidential primary.
He enjoined the leadership and delegates of the PDP in Kebbi to work for his victory in the presidential primary.
While addressing the party delegates in Birnin Kebbi he said "Its important we get it right this time around and I'm counting on you". Atiku stated that with the personalities that gathered for his sake in kebbi he was sure of victory.
"With those I saw today in kebbi I know we are in a safe hand. From the airport to the party secretariat I was overwhelmed by the large number of people who came to welcome us." I know the success is ours", he said.
Earlier, the chairman of the northwest caucus of the PDP, Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu said "We will not allow any of our delegates to vote any other candidate but Atiku".
"We know him,he knows us. We will only vote who will not use walking stick, who will in less than 3 months in office start vising hospital abroad".
The State chairman of PDP Alhaji Usman Bello Suru said the words of the party elders are assurance that they will vote for Atiku. "It's Atiku we are voting in the delegates' election", he said.
