Eid-el-Fitr: Gov. Bagudu Harps On Peace, Unity

Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has emphasized the need for unity among Nigerians despite the diversity in religion, cultures, and ethnicity of this country.

In his Sallah message to the Muslim Ummah in Kebbi State, he said nothing could be compared to sustainable peace and unity of the nation.

While congratulating the Muslim faithful for celebrating Eid-el-Fitr happily, the governor prayed to Allah to accept their act of worship.

He said, " Coincidentally, the Christians are observing ' Lent Season' where they also fast, I pray that the coincidence will unify our country better and consolidate gains achieved in the country ".

Bagudu also admonished the Muslim faithful to sustain the prayers for peace and noble lessons learned during the Holy month of Ramadan, to continue to exhibit the fear of God "This is key to peace, unity and even socio-economic development of the country", he said. 

Bagudu congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari and thanked him for what he called the laudable initiatives he brought to Kebbi and Nigeria as a whole. He stated that the initiatives have empowered and continue to mobilize the populace to achieve higher income levels in the country.

Bagudu equally extolled the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN for the myriad of assistance to the people of the State, saying his sterling qualities of leadership, describing makes him a good ambassador of the State in the Federal Executive Council. 

Earlier, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and the Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami, SAN joined hundreds of Muslim Ummah in observing the two Rakaat prayers at the Eid- Prayer ground at Jesse in Birnin Kebbi.
