All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant and former President of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu) has promised
to build on the achievement of Governor Atiku Abubakar Bagudu and follow in his footsteps if elected governor of Kebbi state.
He said he will also focus on agriculture, youth empowerment, education, and health care and will stimulate the economy for the benefit of Kebbi indigenes.
Kauran Gwandu through his campaign coordinator, Alhaji Kabiru Sani Giant said he has designed his blueprint towards promoting the state economy adding that his administration will continue with the fantastic legacies of Governor Bagudu if elected governor of Kebbi state.
"I will operate an open-door policy and inclusive government to encourage the participation of kebbi people in governance.
"With my experience in civil service and as a teacher, I will empower the civil servants. I will give more attention to education, and infrastructural development across the 21 local government areas of the state", he said.
He commented on the Bagudu administration for providing the dividend of democracy to the people of the state and ensuring the peaceful coexistence of citizens of the State.
"There is no doubt, that Governor Bagudu has done a lot for Kebbi state and its people. There are many people-oriented and developmental projects to his credit.
"I want to follow in his footsteps if elected as Governor of Kebbi State", Kauran Gwandu said.
