This Year Annual World Egbe Festival Will Be Unique- Oba Asagbemi Fasagbade

This year Annual world egbe festival will be unique in all aspects according to Oba Asa Agbaye, Oba Asagbemi Fasagbade Kin=in-ni.

Oba Egbe Agbaye that is also known as Amotekun Keji, the Erujeje of Akoko land, said its going to be a great festival.

"The festival is 9 years old. The first edition was held in Ibadan in 2013. For Intense purposes, the world Egbe festival was established and registered with the corporate affairs commission Abuja Nigeria, on February 14 2012 at Ibadan by the Traditional group of Egbe Onisese Isembaye Cultural and Traditional Religion Worshipers Association of Nigeria and overseas under the leadership of Oba Asagbemi Temidara Ariwajoye Fasagbade Kin-in-ni Amotekun Keji Erujeje of Akoko land the Oba Asa Agbaye and Oba Egbe Agbaye the Alaga Ogboni  Alale Agbaye.

So we are legally established. We have come a long way that is why I stated that this year will be very unique and special.

 

He also spoke about the meaning of Egbe, he said, "The word Egbe in Yoruba language simply means Society of people that stand as a group of beings of the same class fold. Era members of the same class, mates, or society unifying together under the same tenet of Association or affiliation. We have many do and don't when we are to get a new member"

"This year's event is branded by Royal Africa Heritage Promotion. Dignitaries are expected to grace this year's event. Oba Akran of Badagry, Oba Oniba Ekun, the Ooni of Ife, and Oba Lusaida are some of the first-class obas that are expected to grace the event which will come up at Gberefu beach, Badagry, Lagos starting on Tuesday 26 till Thursday 28 April 2022."
