Reasons I Named Myself Were Olorin- Portable Explains

Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable, the rave of the moment, has revealed the reasons he named himself were olorin (crazy singer).

Portable said he has seen a lot and has been treated badly by so many he has met in life in the course of his musical career, hence he became a tough being.

Also, he has stated the reason he dropped out of school to concentrate on his musical career.

The controversial artist, who shot into the limelight in the last quarter of 2021, made this revelation during a recent interview with Jahbless on his podcast, Jahbless Original Intelligence.

Portable said that music has always been his thing right from the onset. He noted that his love for music made him put a stop to his education.

The Zazu singer explained that he knew right from the start how much wealth music could give him so he faced it full time.

When asked if it was truly music that made him quit school he said “yes, music dey bring money, fast money-making machine.”

“If you sing you must have money. Unless you’re not good at it, if you are a musician, you must be rich. I observed that I make a lot of money whenever I sing.”

“Oga my na ‘ogba’ (craziness), you know if they don wicked you severally. So I brought the whole craziness into the music industry.”

“Even if you want to do business with someone who reaps you off, make sure you let them know that you are aware of the kind of person they are but you still want to do business but they should also be mindful that you aren’t weak.

“They know say I sabi sing but they did not open the door. I have met a lot of people that said I’m good but it all ended there. They will sign you and keep you in a room, even when you meet influential people who intend to sponsor you but they will kill your career with over-packaging.”
