At long last, among all the contenders for the stool, Muyideen Olaniyi Azeez emerged as the most preferred candidate and he was anointed and blessed for the throne by the kingmakers.

On the 14 of October 2021, the governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola put the official seal and installed Oba  Muyideen Olayini Azeez,  Ajagungbade 1, as the Elegbedi of Egbedi Oodua kingdom, as he was handed the staff of office.

The development no doubt made indigenes of Egbedi so happy.

The excitement was in full gear on 27th November, when Egbedi town had her annual indigenous festival, Oosa Aata. That would be the first time the festival aimed at celebrating a diety in the land, would hold with a king on the throne, after the demise of the previous Oba. That feat coupled with the personality of their new king, a man well-loved by his people, the entire town practically erupted in joy and happiness even as the enthronement of Oba Olaniyi brought a clear sign the town was development bound.
