Al-Irshad Boss Shares Experience On How He Travels For Umrah Despite Ban On Direct Flight From Nigeria

Alhaji Abdul-Rasheed Adeleke, the Managing Director of AL IRSHAD Travels, a NAHCON registered Hajj and Umrah Operator, has narrated how he was able to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform despite the suspensions on a direct flight from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia.

Al-Irshad, as he is fondly called in a chat with newsmen said he was able to comply with the new Omicron protocol introduced, and arrived in Saudi Arabia on the 3rd of January with a record of success in his bid to perform Umrah.

Rasheed Adeleke who has since returned to Nigeria said he traveled to Ghana via Air peace and spent 14 days in Ghana before departing to Saudi Arabia.

“I was on transit through Ghana because the new guideline stated a Nigerian must spent 14 days in another country before flying to the Kingdom. I left Ghana on January 3rd via Qatar Airway with a ticket number 157 2393500539, transit through Doha in Qatar, and arrived at King Abdul Aziz Intentional Airport the same day.”

Asked whether his company can ferry Umrah pilgrims to the Kingdom, Rasheed said the process is very easy and not as delicate as being envisaged. “We can guide pilgrims if they are willing to travel with us. The only issue is to travel through another country but honestly, I found the whole process easy. Arrival screening in KAIA in Jeddah and booking for Umrah is also very easy.”

Rasheed said his company is currently processing transport documents of some Umrah pilgrims that are ready to be airlifted to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through another country and comply with the travel protocol.
