Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has enjoined Christians and Muslims in the State to continue to live in peace and unity.

The governor while felicitating with Christians during the celebration of this year's Christmas in the state called on Nigerians to use the Christmas festive period to continue to live peacefully with one another irrespective their religious, political or ethnic differences.

A statement by the governor's media aide, Yahaya Sarki stated that the governor also enjoined Nigerians to uphold the unity of the country as sacrosanct and non negotiable because they stand to benefit more, as well as prosper with absolute unity in the country.

He said"With unity, Nigeria will continue to grow from strength to strength . This means that the country would be at par with its contemporaries. Our diversity and population should be an advantage, with more opportunities". Bagudu said unity in the country was absolutely crucial if Nigeria must fully and evenly develop.
He commended people of the state for their support, loyalty and trust for his administration to continue to take Kebbi State to greater height of prosperity, peace and tranquility.

"The festivities of Christmas and New Year are joyous moments for merriment, reflections and the exchange of love," he said.
