The Member representing Umuahia North constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly and Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon Kelechi Onuzuruike, has congratulated the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu (Ph.D.), on the award of the Governor of the year, SME Development 2021 by the New Telegraph Newspaper in Lagos on Friday.
In a statement made available to journalists, in Umuahia, the state capital on Tuesday, Hon Onuzuruike, described the meticulous and outstanding award as well deserved and noted that Governor Ikpeazu has created enabling environment for Small and Medium Business Enterprise to thrive in Abia State.
The lawmaker said that Governor Ikpeazu has through his unrelenting commitment to the promotion of SMEs, has created employment and business opportunities for the millions of unemployed Abians, and had equally made them business owners to enable them to be self-dependent, generating daily income from their local produce.
Hon Onuzuruike, also noted that the Ikpeazu-led administration has through the ongoing establishment of Enyimba Economic City has placed Abia on the path of great economic development and prosperity.
He said that the Ikpeazu led administration has recorded impressive and overwhelming gains especially in the area of Infrastructures, health, education, Security, etc. that led to the existing and sustainable economic growth and development in God's Own State.
The PDP Stalwart further said that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has turned Abia into an epicenter and a new destination for Small and Medium Scale Business Enterprise (SME's), opining that the mercurial honor bestowed on the Abia Chief Executive, will spur and strengthen him more in dispensing more meaningful projects to every doorstep of the people of the state.
Hon Kelechi Onuzuruike, on behalf of his family, associates, Umuahia North constituents, PDP family, friends, and Well-wishers to once again felicitate with Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on the auspicious honored by the New Telegraph Newspaper, praying almighty God to continue to grant the latter, the strengths, guidance, directions, and wisdom on his great service to the Abia and humanity
