A three-term governor of Fuji Musicians Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Quadri Aremu Olawale aka Sakadeli has reiterated that fuji music will continue to exist as man lives.
Sakadeli made this known at an event in Abeokuta organized to celebrate 41 years of remembrance of Late Waheed Ayinla Omowura. The fuji Icon said, we need to put the record straight that no music can displace fuji music, it's traditional music, whose roots emanated from Were, local music popular amongst Muslims during the month of Ramadan.
FUMAN governor stressed further that fuji music, having enjoyed the infusion of different modern musical instruments today made it appealing to both old and young irrespective of class and status.
We have to appreciate our forbears in the industry that did all they could to make fuji music acceptable to all. Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister being the creator alongside his bosom friend, Alhaji Kollington Ayinla has done very well and the likes of Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Marshal too has added a beautiful phase to what we all rally around to call a profession today.
Fuji will continue to be relevant irrespective of whatever music that enjoys cognizance today.
