New Speaker, assembly members pledge to work with Gov Bagudu

The new speaker of the Kebbi State House Assembly, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Abubakar Lolo and other members of the house have affirmed their commitment to maintain good working relationship with Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and the state executive arm of government for the development of the state and its people.

The new speaker affirmed this at a grand rally held in his honour at his home town Lolo, Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State on Sunday.

While addressing APC supporters at his Bagudo West Constituency, he said the state assembly under his watch would provide the necessary impetus to policies and programs of Governor Bagudu's administration in uplifting the living condition of citizens in all sectors of the state economy.

He urged people in the state to support government to achieve and sustain its various programs aimed at accelerating societal development.

The new Speaker expressed his appreciation to the Governor Bagudu for identifying with the ideals of the people of the State and harkening to their aspirations.

He thanked members of state assembly for what he described as their unflinching support which provided him the opportunity to lead them and serve people of the state.

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu was represented at the rally by the Chairman Kebbi State Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Abubakar Nayaya.

In his response, Governor Bagudu who was represented at the rally by Chairman Kebbi State Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Abubakar Nayaya thanked members of the state house of assembly for the quick passage of bills and prompt approval of requests by the executive which he said has helped immensely in facilitating the rapid development been witness in the state.

The Governor solicited more support from members of the assembly and urged them to cooperate with the new speaker towards attaining the objective of providing dividends of democracy to the populace.

He promised people of Lolo, the new speaker's constituency that the executive would work with the state house of assembly to get the Federal Government to reconstruction of the dilapidated Kaoje-Lolo road which terminate at the border with Benin Republic.

Top government functionaries, members of state assembly, commissioners, permanent secretaries, special advisers, local government chairmen, traditional rulers, APC leaders from local and state levels, women groups ,party supporters and hundreds of well wishers attended the speaker's grand reception at Lolo.
