One of Nigeria’s most sought after in Nollywood is Queen Temitope Oluwa, now a resident in America having been in the entertainment circle of the Yoruba genre for three decades.
Queen as she is fondly called now has a company in America alongside her movie outfit as a producer, actress and a model.
Sherifat, from one of the most reputable white cap chieftaincy family, The Oluwas in Lagos said, “My first movie was ETO ILU, it was released in 2001. Followed by Ise ti yato, Opin Ife, Saratu, Ewaoluwa and IKU IRO.I am currently working with some directors in Nigeria for my YouTube channel OrenteTV.
“I have been in the industry since 1993 and the journey has been tough, rough, awesome and exciting. Going into acting at a very young age comes with so much, it was interesting, daring and exciting back then because it was something I wanted and I have been able to carve a niche for myself and here we are today doing better despite being far away from home.”
Queen stressed further that, “I am working on a lot of projects at the moment. I have a staffing agency here in U.S where I hire Nurses and send them to nursing facilities. I also have another agency that works as a third party to make payments for goods and services between Africa and U.S, it is called ATA llc. What we do is help people send money to their loved ones. I am currently working with one of the best Actor-cum-producer of repute, Abiodun Jimoh for a better an vibrant production.
