A former staff of Owoyemi Super store, located at Idiroko road area of Sango-Ota in Ado Odo Ota local government area of Ogun State, has been arrested by men of Ogun State Police Command, for burgling his former employer's office.
DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, Poice Public Relation officer in Ogun State Police Command said the suspect, 28yrs old Ola Adeoye, was arrested following a distress call received at Sango Ota divisional headquarters at about 1:45 am, that the store has been broken into.
Upon the distress call, the DPO Sango ota, CSP Godwin Idehai, mobilized his men, and moved to the scene. On getting to the scene, it was discovered that the two story building was broken into through the balcony of the second floor, and the MD's office has been ransacked, with an attempt to break the company's safe.
After diligent searching, the one man buglary squad was seen hiding in a water tank, from where he was promptly arrested.
On interrogation, he confessed been a former staff of the company, and that he was sacked a month ago.
Meanwhile, the commissioner of police, CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun, has directed an in-depth investigation into the antecedent of the suspect. He also ordered that the suspect be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
