Premium lager, Trophy has elicited excitement and the outpouring of accolades at the unveiling of the tallest beer bottle. The gigantic fibre glass structure which stood at a height of 14 metres (45.9FT)and 3.8metres (12.5 FT) in diameter was the centre of attraction when it was unveiled at the Ikeja City Mall in Lagos over the weekend.
As
the flagship product of International Breweries Plc, a proud part of AB In Bev
(the world’s largest brewers with more than 400 beer brands), Trophy has
consistently set the pace when it comes to recognizing and rewarding consumers,
going one-step further to tag them “Honourable”.
Expounding
further on the unveiling, Marketing Manager, Trophy, Bamise Oyegbami noted that
the Trophy brand is unique is many ways and represents the qualities of hard
work, ambition, integrity, and camaraderie; qualities that make one stand out.
“We
refer to the Trophy consumer as “Honourable” because of our deep conviction
that our consumers are a reflection of our brand, and so for us, it is not just
about making the next sale, rather, it is the burning desire to consistently
give our consumers a unique experience and that’s why we have erected the
largest fibre glass structure of a muskie,” Oyegbami said.
Some
of the consumers who were present at the epoch-making event expressed their
excitement at sighting the larger-than-life image of their favourite beer brand.
Femi
Adebayo, a Trophy Brand Ambassador said, “There is no doubt that Trophy has set
the bar high with this ingenious idea to unveil the tallest beer bottle. It’s a
magnificent piece and is certainly representative of Trophy Lager’s domination
of the beer category in Nigeria.”
A
loyal Trophy consumer, Femi Oyeleke, who named Trophy as his go-to brand for
optimum relaxation expressed delight at experiencing the beauty and grandeur of
the gigantic bottle. “I came to see a movie but was amazed to see the Trophy
bottle and the deserved buzz around it. I salute the uncommon thinking of
International Breweries and Trophy as well as their commitment to daring to do
something refreshingly different,” Oyeleke said.
The
event which was streamed live was well-attended by Trophy ambassadors, Falz and
Femi Adebayo as well as government officials, media personalities, influencers,
and consumers.
Consumers
who purchased up to six cans of Trophy were also treated to the waagbayi
experience to add colour and fun to the day.
The
numero uno project is a follow up to the waagbayi experience which
involved honouring consumers through a personalised experience that featured praise-singing
and socialising with free drinks in their homes.
The
tallest beer bottle will also be unveiled in the ancient city of Ibadan.
