End of the road as Ahmad Alawiye, Islamic music star dumps Oga nla family *How Pasuma men attacked him

Ahmad Alawiye is one of the frontline musicians in Nigeria that used to be very close to fuji star, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, and the incident that happened couple of days ago has confirmed the speculated rift people have said existed between them.

It was a tough scenario when one of Pasuma’s boys, Awoko Waidi attacked popular Islamic singer, Alhaji Ahmad Alawiye at an event on Sunday 15th, 2021.

The event was said to be organized by a popular Islamic singer, Aminat Babalola a.k.a Omotayebi. The annual event that was graced by shakers and movers in the society was tagged Omotayebi Day, held in Osodi, Lagos.

It was when Alawiye was called on stage to sing that one of Pasuma’s band members attacked him and got him injured.

In his narration, Alawiye said, “I have been around at the event for quite sometime, though, there were many artistes that wanted to perform, I never put up any struggle going on stage but one of the promoters in the entertainment industry, Kazeem Afolayan of Epsalum insisted I must perform at the occasion.

“Being the promoter handling the event he wanted me to perform and it was him that persuaded me to go on stage and that was when Awoko Waidi, one of Pasuma’s men attacked me. I told Pasuma straight to his face that it was not Waidi that attacked me but Pasuma who sat pressing his phone while the imbroglio lasted. This Waidi that attacked me was someone I have given money to on several occasions. Pasuma was right there seated pressing his phone while his boy hit me in my face.”

Alawiye explained that he has always been loyal to the fuji star despite the fact that he was not the person that taught him music. He said, “The love I have for Pasuma made me followed him and worshiped him like a demi-god. It's quite unfortunate that the loyalty I had for him wasn’t reciprocated. I started a Travelling Agency and the massive support I did get from colleagues was enormous but the man I called and referred to as my mentor never supported me and I never bothered.

“When he chose not to support me I was able to get the support from other colleagues in the industry and maybe that was their problem in their camp, it's Pasuma and his cohort that can tell better.”

A close associate to the musician said Saheed Osupa, who is well known as Pasuma’s rival later did a promo for Alawiye’s Travel Agency and that was what angered Pasuma and his boys.

He said, “The moment Saidi Osupa and some other fuji artistes did jingle to support Alawiye, that was when Pasuma and his men started seeing the Islamic singer as a disloyal fellow to their camp.

Alawiye, said he has reported the case to the necessary authority because he was once warned by one Alfa Abbey Lilafi, a close Islamic cleric to Pasuma, that Waidi Awoko, had plan to attack him anytime he steps close to his Principal.

It could be recalled that Pasuma and Alawiye closeness was well known amongst other entertainers. He was known as one of the musicians that considered the fuji star a senior colleague and brother in the industry and their relationship has spanned for over two decades. On several occasions Ahmad Alawiye, though an Islamic Act had always took side of Pasuma during the crisis amongst fuji stars.

In a bid to get the side of Pasuma’s camp, a call was put through to his manager, Mathew Ajiboye a.k.a Ididowo, he said he had nothing to say about the rift and added that Pasuma wasn’t the one that attacked Ahmad Alawiye.
