soldiers in about five vehicles who rescued and whisked him away to safety, the
Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty Rilwan Osuolale Akiolu would have been attacked
by rampaging hoodlums who stormed his palace and razed it down

the palace that hoodlums stormed the palace located at Iga Idunganran area of
Lagos early Wednesday morning seeking blood after they have successfully set
ablaze the Ebute Ero police station and injuring the Divisional Police Officer
(DPO), named Shina.

“They stormed the palace, set it ablaze and attacked Kabiyesi but he was rescued by the soldiers who
came after a distress call was made to them. They came and whisked him away as
well as prevented the hoodlums from setting the palace on fire.
“However, they succeeded in carting
away valuables in the process and vandalising some buildings and properties in
the palace before the arrival of the soldiers,”
