ROTIMI AROGE, TOP BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT BOSS GETS NEW APPOINTMENT AT CILT NIGERIA

Rotimi AROGE (MILT,TRCN,CIPSMN), MD/CEO, Global Foremost Impressions Ltd, a Lagos based  Business Development Company has been appointed as a member of Public Relations & Business Strategy committee of Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT) Nigeria.
The  Logistics, Transport and Supply Chain institute which has recorded  51 years of existence in Nigeria and 100 years globally is the apex professional body for professionals in this sector.
In his words, Rotimi Aroge  who is popularly referred to as  "Special Advocate of Entrepreneurship Development(SAED)" said, “I am set  to cooperate with the leadership of my committee to help our great institute to apply her wealth of knowledge of Logistics, Transport and Supply Chain to drive the economy by creating value which the average Nigerian can relate with and appreciate in their quest to become LTS-prenures".
He added that it is high time the LTS sector leads in the Nigerian economic revolution as President Mohamadu Buhari embarks his second term in office.

In a statement made available to us, the inauguration came barely few weeks ago at the Institute’s National Secretariat in Lagos where the president of the institute Alhaji Ibrahim A. Jibril, FCILT who is also the holder of  the traditional title of Magayakin Zazzau Emirate however said that the Committees members' appointments were done in line with their routine contributions to the growth of the Institute over the years having considered their “proven integrity” that led to their inauguration as chairmen and members of the three standing committees of the Institute. The President of the Institute charged the newly appointed chairmen and members to perform creditably in order to enhance the status of the Institute.
The three standing Committees of the Institute according to the President are: Professional Development Committee; Public Relations & Business Strategy Committee and Account & Finance Committee.
Professional Development Committee (PDC) is to be chaired by Professor Adesoji Adesanya, a Fellow of the Institute, Mr. Remi Ajiboye, a Chartered member (Vice Chairman), Mr. Abdulrahman  Ajala, a Chartered member of the Institute and Mr. Paul Ndibe, a Fellow of the Institute and Acting Executive Director of CILT Nigeria(Secretary).
The terms of reference of the committee includes: setting professional examinations for members and potential members, marking scripts, screening member’s academic records for upgrade or at the point of entrance, etc.
The second committee inaugurated was Public Relations & Business Strategy Committee (PR & BS) to be chaired by Mr. Babayo Adamu, a Fellow of the Institute, Mr. Alaga Ajibola, a Chartered Member of the Institute ( Vice Chairman), Mr. Bashir  Ambi Mohammed, a Chartered Member of the Institute ( member),Mr. Rotimi  Aroge, a Member of the Institute(member) and Mr. Paul Ndibe, a Fellow of the Institute and Acting National Executive Director of CILT Nigeria( Secretary).
Mr. Jibril further stated that the PR & BS Committee has its terms of reference as follows|: The development of strategic cooperative relationships with the Institute’s Corporate Members or other organization for a win-win outcome in consonance with the National Secretariat, review of business plans for the Institute’s programme, offering the best ways of actualizing them and assisting in developing a wide network of public awareness campaign for the Institute.
Others according to him include assisting  the National Secretariat in structuring profitable programmes including trainings and workshops,  helping to attract offers for implant training programmes of identified organization and the sustenance of the profitability of the programmes, Assisting in the packaging of attractive Institute programmes for sponsorship by Corporate organizations especially the Institute’s corporate members, and  to assist in developing a link for attracting back lapsed Corporate and individual Members towards a more robust Membership growth.
The National President also inaugurated the third committee, Audit and Finance Committee, to be Chaired by Mr. Benjamin Humbe, a Fellow of the Institute, he is to be assisted by Mr. Ezra Dakup, a Chartered Member of the Institute(Vice Chairman), other members are Mr. Hakeem Ajibola, a Chartered Member of the institute(member) and Mr. Paul Ndibe, a fellow of the Institute and Acting National Executive Director of CILT Nigeria (Secretary).
Responding on behalf of the Committees, Prof. Adesanya thanked the President and Council Members of the Institute for the confidence bestowed on the committees and assured them that the Committees will not fail in achieving the desired results.
There was a group photograph with the National President, Chairmen and Members of the Committees, while the President and Chairmen continued with their Council Meeting.
Rotimi Aroge who is also an advocate of the SDGs 2030 said the Agenda has a set of 17 SDGs and 169 targets. He stressed further that he is looking forward to the time when the institute will embrace the idea of supporting the global cause, join the UN and all the collaborating countries in the quest for a peaceful, just, equitable and inclusive world.
“The new development Agenda aligns with Nigeria’s drive to deliver democratic dividends and improve the lives of the poor. The lesson from the millennium development goals (MDGs) is that the successful implementation of the SDGs will depend on partnership, inclusiveness and accountability.
“We recognize the need for intersectoral; inter-governmental, multi-level and multi-stakeholders’ partnerships to enhance success, and our firm, Global Foremost Impressions Ltd is willing and able to partner with any individual organization or government seeking collaboration for involvement in the implementation of  the SDGs.” He posited.
