The
Governorship candidate of the All People’s Congress (APC) Chief Adebayo Adelabu
has assured Oyo state indigenes in the Diasporas of full participation in his
government if elected as the next Governor of Oyo State.
He gave this assurance over the weekend in a telephone
conversation with members of the UK chapter of the APC.
While sharing his seven point agenda with the Group, Adelabu
solicited for the group’s unflinching support towards winning the Governorship
seat in the coming election. He noted that he is very much aware of the
importance and contributions of the Diaspora in the economic and social
development of the country and promised that his administration will be ready
to harness talents from the Diaspora to participate in his government if
elected as the next governor of Oyo State.
He urged the group to be fully involved in the electioneering
campaign programs to ensure all areas of the state are well covered.
While responding; the group through its chairman Mr. Kolawole
Saidu promised the Governorship candidate of their full support to ensure that
APC retains the Governorship seat in the State.
Three members of the group who were also aspirants in the Party
primaries promised to deliver their constituencies for the Governorship
candidate during the forthcoming elections.
Meanwhile, in solidarity to the clamour for the return of APC back
to power in Oyo state come 2019, foremost entertainment promoter in the United
Kingdom, BNS Promotions Boss, Mrs. Dupe Okesanjo has pledged her support to
work hand in hand with the UK APC chapter to spread the good manifestoes of the
gubernatorial aspirants of APC candidate, Adebayo Adelabu.
She said, “We are willing to use our vast entertainment platforms
to reach out to indigenes of the state in London, and people back home in Oyo
state to vote en-mass for Adelabu in the coming election.
“When we reach out to people here, we believe they could talk to
people at home and encourage their family members to vote for the candidate of
APC. With this, our dream of having the best candidate for the job would be
actualized.”
