People from all walks of life
came together recently to celebrate a fulfilled life, Sheik Abdul Rahman Jum'at
Saro lived.
Encomiums from friends and
close associate were poured as he was fondly remembered. The Emir of Ilorin
sent his delegates from Kwara state, likewise Oba Ridwan Akiolu, whose staff
office was visibly, present with some of the Idejos- his chiefs.
Oba of Agege too graced the occasion
as Sheik Habeeb Adam Al-Ilory led other Muslim clerics present during the 8th day
fidau prayer for the late Sheik.
Sheik Abdul-Rahman Ajao Jum’a
Saro came into being through the family of Alhaji Muhammad Jum’ah bn Aminu-Lah and
Alhaja Munirat Abebi Gidado, Saro on the 3rd day of August, 1938 and died on
the 23rd of September 2018.
He was a scholar who had his teachings
from different notable Sheiks across Nigeria, especially the Late Revered Sheik
of Islam and a Scholar, Alhaji Adam Al-Ilory.
His exceptional brilliance made
Sheik Adam gave him the opportunity to study at Islamic University of Medina
with other three students.
Married with children, in his
life time he was able to establish a mosque and a school with the name, Markaz
Sheik Jum’ah Saro Litahfizil Qura’n in Agege, Lagos.
In his submission, Sheik Habeeb
Adam Al-Ilory has
enjoined all Muslims to live an exemplary life based on the
teaching of the holy Qur’an. He described the Late Sheik as a man of God who
lived to better the lives of many.”
Sheik Abdul-Rahman Ahmad, the National
Missioner of Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria has described deceased as a great
Muslim that will be missed based on the good attributes people said about him.
“All these attributes that we
have been told, the virtues that has been extolled; these are very rare
qualities; definitely we are going to miss all of these.” He added.
